Happy New Year

We had a great New Year's Eve at home. Brad and I put Ella to bed and Parker in his swing and had a nice dinner. Staying up until midnight was not really a priority for us, but I woke back up to feed Parker around midnight - so I guess you can say I rang in the New Year. I was awake, but I sure would not have been if Parker was not hungry.

The rest of our weekend was great too. Saturday was Parker's first official outing and I guess no better place to go than a friends house to cheer the Cards on against UK. I wish I could say UofL won, but we still had a great time. Ella was so happy to be out and have someone to play with she did not know what to do with herself. She was exhausted by the time we got home from all of the running around. Sunday we finally got around to taking down the Christmas decorations. I always hate to see them go, but at the same time I am glad to have the house back to normal. We always get a real tree and I get so tired of picking up pine needles every where. When Ella woke up from her nap the tree was gone and she started crying. It is hard to explain to a 2 year old Christmas only comes once a year, but we are trying.

I would like to say I am starting to get alittle more rest, but I am still exhausted from all of the waking up at night. I keep thinking soon Parker will sleep more than 2 to 3 hours.
