Happy Birthday Baby Jesus

We were trying to explain to Ella that Christmas is baby Jesus's birthday and we are going to church to celebrate that and listen to music. While I do not think she completely understands what it means she is saying Happy Birthday Baby Jesus. That is a start. Ella was on her best behavior during church because she did understand that if she was good Santa would bring her toys. Parker was also an Angel and slept the entire time. Santa brought him diapers, wipes, and new sleepers. He is ok with that this year, but Santa better step it up up next year. Brad spent the evening putting together everything for Ella and enjoying the brownies and egg nog. I tried to stay up until 10pm, which is late for me, but then Parker and I had to go to bed for 3 hours until the next feeding.

It has been a very special Christmas for us. We have two beautiful healthy children and we really can not ask for more.Of course, this time of year also makes me miss my dad and wish he was able to meet Parker and see how Ella has grown. I am so thankful we were able to spend Christmas with him last year. While I enjoy making my own traditions with my family I miss mom, grandparents, and in-laws too. It is just too hard to load everything up and travel with 2 kids this year. Hope they are all having a very Merry Christmas.
