Happy Birthday Daddy

Brad turned 33 on Saturday. I would love to have been able to take him out to dinner, but Parker is just too little to leave with a sitter. So, we celebrated with chocolate chip pancakes. We also went out that evening to look at Christmas lights. Ella loved it and Parker slept the entire time which was nice.

Parker has been great this past week. He is still pretty laid back. Ella loves him so much and is the best little helper. She is mommy #2. She occasionally has her melt downs and I think that is because she is going a little stir crazy. We really all are. Ella will start Mother's Day Out in Jan. and I think that will help her out alot. It is sure different having a baby in the winter verses the summer. After 2 weeks Ella and I were out and about. It is completely different with Parker. The dr. advises us not to take him out until at least his 5 week check up. Hopefully, by 6 weeks it should be ok to take him out occasionally. The last thing we want is a sick baby.

Sunday afternoon Lauren and Damon came to visit and brought us some wonderful food. It is always a treat when I do not have to think about what to cook for dinner. Later that afternoon we had Parker's newborn pics. I think we really got some good ones. I can not say enough about how wonderful and patient Miranda was at taking the photos. Parker was good most of the time, but by the end he was sick of us messing with him. I was also very impressed with Ella. She sat right beside Parker and did exactly what we asked. Did I mention we bribed her with a new baby doll? Hey, whatever it takes. I can not wait to see what the pics look like.

We are eagerly awaiting Santa. Can not wait to see what he brings Ella. Instead of cookies Ella and I will be making brownies for Mr. and Mrs. Santa per their request.
