Pumpkin Patch

The blog update is a couple of days late because we have had a few fun packed days. Bill and Susie arrived in Louisville on Friday. Ella was so happy when she woke up on Saturday to see them here. Sat. afternoon we headed to Huber's, which is this great farm that has tractor rides to a pumpkin patch, amazing food, and a petting zoo. Of course, we had to do everything while we were there. Ella's favorite part was the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. She did not want to get off of the tractor. All I could think of is how much I wish Papaw Red was still here to take Ella on a tractor ride on the farm. After picking the perfect pumpkin we headed back to the petting zoo. Ella is just now starting to warm up to animals. She liked feeding the goats. They even had baby deer, which she loved. As most of you know Ella's favorite stuffed animal is this webkinz deer. We never leave the house without it. We finished off the day with a sugar cookie and apple cider, or I guess you can say everyone but myself had the yummy treats. I have gestational diabetes so I can not have any sugar or carbs. Not a big deal, and no, there are no problems to myself or the baby as long as I follow this diet. I do have to say I feel better eating so healthy. The best part to it all is I am not going to have too much weight to loose after the baby gets here. I am surprised though that cutting sweets and carbs out of my diet can make me a little moody, but I am starting to adjust.

Sunday afternoon we hung around the house and relaxed. Monday Ella was lucky enough to stay with SuSu all day instead of going to school. They had so much fun together. Ella made sure to tell us Tuesday morning that she wanted to stay with Susu again and not go to school. We were sad to see them go and Ella can not stop asking for them, but we will see them in a few weeks for the baby's arrival.

The other big news of the week is we have chosen a name for our baby, Parker Bradley Lesshafft. We will call him Parker. It has taken us a while to arrive at the name. We just liked Parker and of course we know where we got Bradley. Hope everyone likes it. We sure do.
