Our Weekend

Running to the driving range

Brad and I had our fifth wedding anniversary on Friday. It is hard to believe in just five years we have moved states, had a beautiful daughter, and have a little boy on the way. We are very blessed to have such a good life. We are so happy to see what the next 5 years will bring. Hopefully, on our 10-year anniversary we will be able to go back to Royal Hideaway where we honeymooned.

We had a nice weekend at home. Saturday morning Ella and daddy went shopping at the mall and Ella got another haircut. Afterwards, Ella got to go to an open house at the local fire station. She loved climbing on all of the firetrucks, playing in the inflatable 'bouncy' that they set up, and seeing everything up close. Later that night, we went over to Matt and Leanne's house to watch the UofL game. Ella had a blast playing with the 2 little boys there, until they wanted to play with her daddy. She about knocked one over trying to get to Brad and started screaming "my daddy". Whew, we are going to have to work on that. Lauren and Damon were also there with their little boy, and Lauren was scheduled for a c-section this Wed. However Molly decided to make her arrival early this morning. Molly was almost 8lbs. I can not wait to go see the baby.

Sunday was all about Ella. After Brad played golf Saturday afternoon, Ella decided she wanted to play with him next time. So, on Sunday she had her first golf outing with Brad and it was so cute. He took her to the driving range. Ella hit a few balls with her golf clubs. She had to make sure and carry her clubs on her back just like Brad does. She pretty much mocked whatever Brad did. She kept telling us how she wanted to go golfing with daddy again. I am sure they will have many more golf outings. The only thing I wonder is if Brad really wants to start this at an early age? That is his time and he is going to lose it if Ella has anything to do with it.

As myself and baby Parker we are doing good. I am sticking to this strict diet, which I am not a fan of, but after meeting with the dietitian I did get some more ideas on foods to eat and snacks so that is helping. My blood sugar is still a little bit high even though I am following this strict diet, but hopefully it will start to regulate.
