32.5 weeks pregnant. 6.5 weeks to go!
The Louisville Zoo has a Halloween Party every week in October for the young kids called "Boo at the Zoo". Most of the workers dress up as non-scary characters like, Snowwhite, Cinderella etc. (I had to tell Brad who a few of the characters were. He is not good with the princesses yet.) Ella had so much fun walking around to all of the different booths getting candy. It was also really neat to see so many kids dressed up. I think Ella was a little overwhelmed at times because she would get real quiet and just stare, and then off she went to get more candy. We thought we were going to have a hard time getting her to wear her Elmo costume, but once she saw all of the other kids dressed up she wanted hers on too. It is amazing what a little peer pressure does.
The rest of our weekend was really good too. We did not do too much, which was fine by me. By Friday I am exhausted from the week.
Ella's "terrible two's" are back. Everything seems to be a negotiation. She does not want to take a bath, she does not want to eat in the kitchen, she throws food, sippy cups and toys. The one thing that puts me over the edge is when I tell her no and she walks up to me and slaps my hand. Lets just say she spends alot of time in time out. I have found that taking away Mickey Mouse on tv has worked the best. Hopefully, this stage will go away soon and I will have my sweet little girl back. I hate spending my days saying no when I would really like to be having fun with her, but that is part of raising kids I guess.
