Our Weekend

Ella loves playing with her babies. Here she has covered both of them up and she is rubbing their back telling them to go to sleep. Basically, this is what I say to her at night right before she goes to bed. She even gives each baby a kiss and says "night night babies".

Look at her poor black eye. This picture was take a few days after she hit it.

Our weekend was pretty uneventful. I think we all are trying to enjoy a few more weeks of sleep and some rest (if you can call it that when chasing around a 2 year old). Ella on the other hand does not seem to want us to get any sleep. The last few days she has gotten up around 5:30. Brad is so great and has gotten up with her and went downstairs so I could sleep a little longer. We have tried everything to get her to stay in bed longer from laying in her bed with her, allowing her to get in our bed, or coming down stairs and laying on the couch watching cartoons. Nothing works at getting her back to sleep. To say the least by 11am she is fit to be tied because she is so tired. Luckily, she is taking great naps.

Ella had a rough week of bo0-bo0's this week. She bumped her eye on a book shelf at school and has had a black eye for a few days. She hit her nose at home on the side of her bed and that made it bloody for a few minutes. She is a wild child and does not pay attention. She also had a good week at school though. She has learned to draw circles, squares, and triangles. Any time she sees these shapes she screams out what they are. Her brain is like a little sponge. She soaks it all in.

Saturday we went on another tractor ride this weekend at the neighborhood pumpkin patch they do every year. (Tractor rides are Ella's all time favorite thing to do right now.) She was able to pick out another pumpkin and wear her Elmo costume again. We have went from her not wanting to wear the costume to never wanting to take it off. She is very excited about going trick-or-treating next weekend. Nana and Mamaw Rose are going to come in to go with us. I think Ella is going to be sad when October is over with because pretty much every weekend this month has been about tractor rides, pumpkins, candy, and wearing her Elmo costume.
