Weekend Update

Brad left early Thursday and got back late on Saturday night. Nana and Mamaw Rose came to visit and help with the kids. Ella has been counting down the days for the past few weeks til their arrival. Both kids were so happy to see their car in the driveway when we got home from school Thursday. They started screaming and could not get out of the car fast enough. Mom tagged along for our normal routine stuff. Thursday was basketball practice, homework, and then to bed for school for both kids. Ella told me that we were to come and have lunch with her at school. Of course we were thrilled too. Mom had never seen the inside of Ella's school and Ella is so proud of it. Friday afternoon after everyone got home we just enjoyed the evening at home with movie and popcorn.

Saturday we all got up and headed to Ella's basketball game. She had a few steals and 3 baskets, which is the most she has ever made at a game. She was grinning from ear to ear. She is becoming a great little basketball player. Poor Parker has had to sit through dance, soccer, now basketball for sister. I know he is ready to play a sport so he will start soccer in a few weeks and that is all he can talk about.

Parker is starting to fight for time with Nana which he has not really done in the past. He got home earlier on Friday and he did not leave Nana's side. He was loving not having to share with Ella. Ella pretty much comes in an takes over.

We were sad to seem them go Saturday, but ready to daddy to get home. Sunday it was beautiful so we had a great time as family at the waterfront park and getting ice cream.
