WOW, There is so much to say about Ella. I wish you all could have seen her play basketball last Saturday. Will offensively she has a lot of work still to do and she is still learning the rules of the game her defense skills are impressive and her determination to become a good player. I think a good player is talent of course, but if you really want it bad enough that type of drive will take you along way in sports and life. I could not be more proud. We watched her still the ball from the boys on the other team at least 10 times. She would walk right up and just take it. If they were down the ground fighting for the ball she normally came up with it. She can hang with boys and she loves it.
She lost her second tooth last week she pulled and tugged and it finally came out. What that girl will do for money. She had been saving her allowance for awhile she spent it on a toy.
I have seen so many changes in Ella in the past few weeks academically and socially. She has an attitude for sure and it is not always bad. The hands on the hips the hands flying all over the place and the expressions on her face crack me up, but also scare me because she is becoming a young lady and not a little kid anymore. We were laying in bed talking before she went to sleep one night and she tells me what a great mommy I am and that I should have more babies, however it could only be a girl. I asked her where the baby girl would sleep and she said she would share her room, but if it was a boy she had not idea where the baby would sleep. I told her she had nothing to worry about because I can not handle anymore babies or sleepless nights and feedings! Her and I still battle it out a lot, but I can reason with her and she knows when she has crossed the line. I do have to say give much more than Brad does and I wish that was not the case, but oh well.
Everyone month or so Brad and I try to take the kids and do one and one things with them. Ella looks so forward to mommy Ella days. If she knows one is coming up she will count it down til the day comes. I love them so much to. This past weekend we both went to the salon to have our hair cut and styled. The stylist fixed Ella's hair straight and I loved it, but it made her look like she was 12. Ella was not so sure about it. We had ice cream did alittle shopping and the met the boys for dinner. It was a great day. Brad and Parker went to a cardinals basketball game an they had a great time too. I know there will come a time when we are second to their friends, but I hope it is later than sooner.
Lastly, I had Ella's Valentines Party at school. I have to organize them with the help of another room mom. I enjoy it I think but I am always glad when there over. The kids all seemed to really enjoy themselves especially Ella. The amount of candy she brought home was absurd.
