School Party and Weekend

Ella had her Thanksgiving Day party at school on Friday. She was so excitied to see me because I was working this party. It was great to watch her converse with her friends and meet the little girls I had been hearing so much about.

Friday night we thought it would be fun to take the kids to see Santa and lighting of the tree. However, I did not know there would also be fireworks. We all did great listening to the Christmas Music and they were thrilled when Santa made his apperance, but it quickly changed as they started the firworks show. Parker started screaming then Ella. All Brad and I could do was laugh. It was kind of comical watching us run out of there with 2 screaming kids in our arms while all the other families were enjoying every minute of it.

Saturday night was all about Brad and I. He surprised me with a little getaway to French Lick Resort for my birthday. This hotel was beautiful and we happened to be there the night they were lighting their tree so that was neat to see. We had a fabulous dinner at an upscale steakhouse and then we were able to get a full nights sleep. That is priceless to us.

On a sad note. Brad's grandfather passed away. He was 97 and had a long life. Everyone was sad to see him go, but knew it was time and he was ready. We are getting ready for family to arrive tonight. Ella of course can not wait for them to get here.
