Brad and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary this weekend in Asheville and it was wonderfulw. We had dinner at a sushi restaurant we have not eaten at since before we had kids. We also hiked 7miles to take in all the fall colors. One of our favorite parts of the trip was being able to sleep til 9am, which I do not think we have done since before Parker was born. I am so grateful for Nana and Mamaw Rose for watching the kids so we could have a much needed night away.
The kids did not miss us at all. Ella actually got mad when we got back and told us to leave. Parker missed me alittle I think, but not as much as I thought he would. I am so glad they did well, but maybe just being happy to see us would have been nice. However, I guess I do not blame them since they had a picnic at the park followed by dinner at Chucky Cheeses. For kids that is just about as good as it gets.
