I guess we are all entitled to off days from time to time and for us it has been that way the past day or so. Maybe the kids were just trying to make sure we knew that they were not happy about us going out to dinner with friends and leaving them with a sitter. Parker started crying last night around 11:00 and he pretty much cried off and on most of the night. Ella thought it would be a great idea to join him around 2am. To say the least I am exhausted today. Ella has been in rare form all day. If we tell her to pick up her toys she throws them across the room. If we ask her to stop jumping on the couch she jumps harder. I could go on and on. I love my children dearly, but they have for sure tested Brad and I both today. It is a good thing we do not have these days very often or I would be going back to work!
Parker is learning how to hold his own with Ella. He will grab toys back from her and hold on to what he has in his hands for dear life. I do not blame him for getting tired of her taking everything from him. I try to explain to Ella that we have to share, but that does not always work out well. Parker is also startin to develop a temper. He will ball up his fist, crinkle his nose, and scream. It is kind of cute, but I know I will probably think differently soon.
I did manage to get a few cute pics of them this weekend. Ella is into building tents and then hiding them. She actually spends alot of time in there and is quiet, which is a huge plus for me.
