Too Tired

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged and we have had alot going on and little sleep to do it all. I wish I could remember what all we have been doing to tell you about it. Our week always consist of 2 play dates, school, the park, and lots of walks. Ella is really starting to make lots of friends and it is so much fun for me to watch her interact. Her BFF is Ava down the street and we usually see them at least 2x a week. The other day I was walking and Ella starts screaming Ava come out to play as we walked by her house. It was sweet, but trying to explain to Ella Ava could not play right now was not successful.

Parker is my sweet non-sleeping baby. He is 19 weeks old and will still not sleep more than 4 hours straight, which is about to put me over the edge. I have tried every trick in the book, which all worked with Ella. My only other alternative is to let him cry himself to sleep, which we are doing this weekend. I have got to get some sleep. A part of me feels special that he is a mommy's boy ,another part of me just wishes he would let someone else try to get him back to sleep so I could catch a few zzz's. I would have let him cry sooner, but I have to be prepared that he is going to wake up Ella, which means the next day is going to be a nightmare. Ella is sleeping much later in the mornings. However, the down side is she is not napping so by 3:00 everyday she is a nightmare to be around. Everything she asks for is in a whinny voice. We must have at lest 5 or so meltdowns just before Brad gets home around 5pm. I truly believe these kids are trying to take over, but little do they know even on little sleep this mommy is going to make sure some how we all nap and sleep at least some of the time.

Ella has also digressed in the potty training, which is so frustrating to me. I talked to the dr. and this is apparently normal. She knows when she has to go, but most of the time chooses not too. She knows I will then have to stop what I am doing and change her panties. Basically, just a way of getting attention. It is not like I do not give her lots of attention through out the day. I am at a loss on what to do. Everyone says just keep trying and eventually one day she will just decide not to pee in her panties anymore. It makes for fun clean up.

Parker had is 4 month check up and was 15lbs 6oz. 50% for weight and 85% for height. The ped. said he was doing great and very strong. His range of motion in his neck is corrected and he no longer has a flat head. YEAH!!!

While I know this blog seems like it is about all of the negative things our children are wonderful and as cute and sweet as they can be. We have just been having an off week which I guess everyone is entitled to. I would not change being home with them for a second even on bad weeks. I might just need a glass of wine and a bubble bath to get thru the next day!
