St. Patty's Weekend

For the first time in many years Brad and I actually went out with friends to celebrate St. Patty's Day. I left Parker with a sitter for the first time and while I was a little worried I knew he was in great hands since it was Sara that was watching him and Ella. We did not leave the house until 7:30 so she only had both kids for about 30mins. Brad and I had so much fun getting out, but by midnight we were exhausted and have pretty much been exhausted all day today as well. It was so worth it though.

Saturday and Sunday afternoon we pretty much just hung around the house and enjoyed playing and taking a long nap. I love day light savings time, but it takes some getting use to the first few days, especially for the kids. We have had a hard time keeping Parker up today and Ella is finally starting to doze off. She has been in her room talking for over an hour. Brad and I on the other hand are ready for bed NOW.

Ella has been struggling with doing what we ask of her. She will roll her eyes at us, turn her head, and even stick her fingers in her ears. It is very frustrating because we know she understands what we are asking of her, but chooses not to do it. I know part of it is she feels she is not getting all of the attention, but at least half of each day is spent taking Ella to do something she enjoys. Whether it be the zoo, play dates, or bouncy gyms. I feel she does not appreciate those things, but I guess she is only 2.5. It is hard to stay upset with her too long though, because she is so cute and can be incredibly sweet and loving when she wants to.
