I am just now getting around to blogging about our wonderful weekend. Pops and SuSu came to see us and we were very happy to see them. I told Ella all day Friday they would be here and that was all she could talk about it. Her face lit up when they arrived. Ella knew the next 3 days were, well all about her and indeed they were or so she thought. Parker got his attention too, but I do not think Ella even noticed. Pops and Susu took Ella to Toys R' Us on Saturday so she could pick out a toy because she has been doing so well at potty training.(I will talk about that in a minute). She came home with 3 trains one being Thomas of course and a miniature train track. She is still playing with it non-stop. Ella also now has a new UofL cheer leading outfit thanks to Pops and it is adorable. Parker has his UofL gear too. I am thinking I need to mix it up with some orange too!! The rest of the weekend was spent playing lots of basketball, putting on makeup with Su Su, and reading books. Parker was also held the entire weekend, which is just what he likes.
Brad and I also GREATLY enjoyed out weekend. Friday night we went to this little quaint wine bar. We actually carried on a conversation without any screaming or interruptions. Saturday night we met friends at a tapas restaurant. We really needed these nights out. Hopefully soon I will feel comfortable leaving Parker with a sitter and paying the $60 to watch both kids.
Ella has accomplished a huge feat this past 2 weeks and that is being potty trained. We are almost there 100 M&M's later. Yes, I am bribing my child with chocolate. I mean it would work for me. She is only have 2 accidents a day. For less than two weeks that is pretty good. Ella wants mommy to also wear minnie mouse panties. If that gets rid of the accidents we are having then I might just do it. Not to be too graphic but one of our accidents was #2 and I thought her and I would both vomit. It was all over her, me and the bathroom floor. Since then we have not had anymore of those. Ella freaked out, cried, and screamed mommy I am stinky.
Parker is as perfect as ever. He really is an angel, especially now that he is sleeping 4 to 6 hours straight. He is smiling and even trying to giggle. It metls my heart everytime. It is hard to believe he is 3 months old today. It makes me sad that he is already 3 months. It seems like just yesterday I was having him. I love newborn babies and it only last for a few weeks.
Our week has been good. Not too many meltdowns other than one on Monday night that put me over the edge. I really had to discipline Ella. It worked because she has been an angel all week. We have had fun playing with friends houses and of course at the bouncey gym.
