Memorial Day Weekend

The biggest news of the week is that we transitioned Ella out of her crib and into her big girl bed. I dreaded doing this and thought I was not going to get any sleep, but it went surprisingly ok. The first night I had to lay in there with her for a few minutes. The next few nights the time I was in there got shorter, and then tonight I laid her down and after a few minutes she stopped crying. The only bad thing about getting rid of the crib is that every morning at 6:30am she comes running into our room and gets in my face and says "hi mommy". I have to admit it is very sweet, but I liked getting up at 7:30 on the weekends much better.

Our weekend was great. Friday during the day we met friends at the splash park. Ella was very timid at first and was not sure about the water. After about 10 minutes that all changed and she was going crazy. She has no fear. She would stick her head under the waterfalls and then start giggling. We for sure have a water baby on our hands.

Brad was so excited for the long weekend. He had not been able to spend too much time with Ella this past week. He for sure made up for it all weekend.
Monday we took Ella to The Louisville Science Museum for the first time. We were not sure if she would be to young, but we were pleasantly surprised. She had a blast and so did we. Her favorite thing was playing in the water exhibit. Of course, she was soaked, but luckily they had hand dryers I could dry her clothes with.

I am so sad for the past week and half to come to a close and have to go back to work tomorrow. Ella and I have had so much fun and I will for sure miss her this week.
