It has now been 4 nights and I have still not given in. Ella still screams for the passey a few minutes when we first put her down, but the screaming is getting shorter each night. Sunday night I wanted so badly to go into her room and hand my baby her passey, since I knew that would soothe her. Instead, I sat over her crib rubbing her back until she feel asleep.
Yesterday morning we woke up as usual and Brad was dressing Ella. She kept saying "doggy", but Brad said "no, Bailey is in the other room". Finally, Brad looked out the window and realized she was pointing to the 4 deer in our side yard. We watched them for a few minutes, for Bailey barked and scared them away.
This morning we had a beautiful rainbow outside our window. Mornings are crazy in our house, but it can not get much better than this. When I see things like this, and as the children are coming outside to ride their bikes around the neighborhood, I know living in Louisville is perfect for us.
