We spent a lot of time at home this weekend enjoying the fire, hot apple cider, and chili. It was very cold Saturday and Sunday. Saturday afternoon we had a few friends come over and watch football. It was nice to spend the day with friends doing nothing. Nick and Tracy's daughter, Cecilia, is about 8 weeks younger than Ella and she is super friendly. Cecilia really took to Brad and Ella was very jealous. Ella even pushed Cecilia away a few times when Brad was trying to play with her. It seems we have a jealous little girl. Ella was super cute and showed off most of the time in a good way. She was very well behaved and enjoyed playing with the kids when they were not playing with us of course.
Sunday afternoon Mary Patt and Stuart's daughter, Lillian, turned 1 so we went to her b-day party. It was such a cute party. Ella was able to show off her new fur vest her daddy bought her too. I am sure you all have heard me say this was not a very practical purchase by Brad, but after seeing her wear it today, it was worth every penny.
Ella's vocabulary seems to improve each day. "Thank you" and "please" are very clear. She has learned to point to her mouth, nose and eyes and say what they are. She likes to point to mine as well, but most of the time she ends up poking me really hard in the eye. We are working on gentle.
Ella is calling me to say goodnight.
