We started off the weekend great. We were that we would not know what to do with Ella now that the pool is closed. However, our weekends haved filled up pretty fast.
Saturday evening Sara came to watch Ella so Brad and I could join 3 other couples for dinner. It was so nice to get out. Sunday afternoon we went to Riley's birthday party at a jumping gym and Ella had a blast. I must say so did we. She was old enough to participate in most of the things. Her favorite was the big inflatable slide. It is so much fun now she is old enough to do these things. There was a little boy there that was only a week younger than Ella and they were so cute together.
That afternoon we were supposed to go to a family reunion, but the weather was really bad. No thunderstorms, but the wind was up to 81mph. Luckily, we did not have any damage since we do not have a lot of trees around us. We are one of the few that did not lose power. 80% of the city is without power and could be for up to a week or so. Ella's day-care is closed, which makes it hard on us. I only have 1 day left and a few sick days. Unfortunately, since I have been here such a short time it makes it hard. Brad is home with her today. Luckily many of his dental offices are closed. I am not sure what we are going to do for the rest of the week.
It seems like since we got here I have had so many things go wrong that I have had to miss work. It is stressful trying to manage it with a new job. Unfortunately they are not as understanding as The AJC was. Life happens and it sure can be stressful. I guess I should be glad we have power and our home is untouched. Most of Louisville was not.
