I do not know where to start about our beach trip. We left on Friday and finally got there on Sat. afternoon. We stopped half way in Knoxville. A 10hr trip is too much for Ella. Mom was nice enough to keep Bailey while we were gone too.

We had beautiful weather everyday. We started each morning off with a walk on the beach so Ella could look at all of the birds. This was her favorite part about the beach because she could get so close to them. She learned to say bird and squawk like a bird does. Now every time she goes outside she is looking up to see if she can spot birds. Ella loved to walk on the beach and stick her feet in the water, but hated the sand. She would only sit down if she was on a towel, but preferred being held or a chair. She is so funny about way things feel. She will still not sit in the grass.

Ella showed Bill and Susie her new temper. They kept saying whew she has a little temper. I have a feeling it will only get worse as she gets older. Ella pretty much got entertained the entire time she was there. Megan and Ben were also there. Ella loved having so many people to play with. Brad and I loved having sitters. We were able to go out a few times in Charleston. We went to our all time favorite place The Vendue Inn and sat on the rooftop deck. I think you appreciate nights out so much more after you have kids.

Ella showed off her walking skills. She is pretty much walking most of the time. She wants to go too fast sometimes and looses her balance. Before long she will be running.

It was great being able to spend time with family and doing nothing but relaxing on the beach. I have not relaxed out in the sun and read a book in so long. Thanks to Bill and Susie for watching Ella so much so we could do that.

On the way back to Louisville we stopped in Knoxville to spend sometime with Mom and then visited Dad, Susan, and Mamaw. Dad is doing alot better and is home. It was the first time he had been able to see Ella walk and run all over the place. Ella made sure to show off for him.

Back to the grind this week. We had so much fun at the beach, but it is always nice to be home.
