It has been awhile

She finally loves being outside. We spend lots of time playing. Ella and Lillian

Sorry it has been awhile. I came down with strep throat early last week and felt pretty bad. I know I sound like a broken record! I have felt great this weekend and surely this is the end of the sicknesses. My doctor and I are becoming really good friends lately.

This past week we did not do to much but relax. Same routine. The weekend on the other hand has been alot of fun. Friday Brad and I put Ella to bed and then grilled out steaks. It makes for a late dinner, but sometimes it is nice to be able to eat an entire meal without interruption. It is kind of like a date. Saturday Brad had to work part of the day so I took Ella for her first hair cut at Cookie Cutters. The concept of this place is genius. Each station has a little car they sit in and a tv. Ella watched Elmo as she had her hair cut. She did not mind them cutting her hair at all. The lady asked me how old she was because she could not believe all of her hair. Her new hair cut is adorable. That evening. MaryPatt, Stewart, Lillian and MP's sister joined us for dinner. Lillian is starting to become such a big girl. Her and Ella are playing more together ,which is neat. It was nice to catch up with them. Did you notice I did not mention anything about the game. What has happened to my beloved VOLS! All I can say is bye bye FAT Phil.

Sunday we got up and went to the zoo. I wanted to make sure we visited one more time before it gets too cold. The carousel is still one of Ella's favorite parts. She is big enough now that she can sit on the animals. She wanted the giraffe. She kept pointing at the horses as they went up and down. I think she thought they were real. It was a perfect day for the zoo. We all had a great time. The rest of Sunday was spent running errands, cleaning house, and washing clothes. Do my days ever end?

Ella is becoming the best snuggle bug and I LOVE IT. Every evening around 6:30 or so she jumps up in my lap and lays down. She sticks her feet and hands out to be rubbed. She loves that. Anytime I stop she says "A" "A" (meaning "get to it, mommy"). I can not believe how big she is getting. She looks like a little girl and not a baby anymore. We are having so much fun with her at this age. I really enjoy being able to go out and do kid things. I get to be a kid too for those few hours and forget about reality.
