Birthday Party #1

We had Ella's birthday party this weekend at our house in Louisville. Ella will also get another b-day party in Knoxville with the Cox Family and my mom again next weekend. I can not even tell you how much fun we had on Saturday! Our house looked like Chuck-E-Cheese. We had at least 14 children ranging from 3 months to 9yrs old. Ella loved them all. She was not shy one bit, even though we had over 40 people in our house! That's alright, I would not have had it any other way. Most of her cousins were here and she had not met too many of them. She had so much fun with them. She really liked Ben, and I can't believe how good he was with her. They were too cute together. Brad's grandparents even made it for a little bit, which was really special. My mom and grandmother were here too, as well as Brad's parents. It is nice to have a bigger house so everyone could stay here and have a bed! Ella was a little cranky today, and I am sure it's because she's had them arond for a few days and has gotten whatever she wanted.

Watching Ella eating her cake was the best part. I knew this child would not be shy! She devoured the cake with both hands. She may like cake just as much as my good friend Ellen does. Actually, I think she has her beat! Brad found cake everywhere when he gave her a bath later that night.

So many of Brad's college friends came too. It was so great to see all of them and their children. We bought a lot of outside games for the kids to play which was a good idea. It turned out that the adults liked those games too.

I know I am going to enjoy living in Louisville and spending time with all of the family. Ella will enjoy growing up with them too.

I could not make up my mind if I was going to use our formal sitting room for a play room or not, well my mind is made up. We have so many toys now that there is really no other option. Ella loves having her own play room too. Our house looks like Toys R' Us. I am hearing no complaints from Brad or Ella. I am not sure who enjoys the toys more,.
