Ella, is changing so much from week to week. Here are her second week pics. Her hair is lightening a little bit and I think she is gaining a little weight as well ... kind of like her father. She is a strong little girl. She does great holding her head up when she is on her tummy and she is real good at fighting mommy when she is frustrated and mommy is trying to feed. We have also found Ella can be a little stubborn when it comes to sleep during the day. When she is about to fall asleep she starts screaming to keep herself awake. It is not a very quiet house these days but we enjoy every minute we spend with her and know how lucky we are to have a healthy daughter.
Ella really likes getting out of the house so mommy has been doing alot (maybe too much but it seems to be good for both of them). Starbucks seems to be Ella's new favorite place. We get our coffee every morning and mommy sits outside and drinks her coffee and reads. It may be the only time Ella is sleeping during the day!! We also enjoyed lunch with April and Andrew on Friday. I really enjoyed that. Andrew is too cute and loves to watch Ella. He will just stare at her. Ella better watch out she is already ready attracting the boys and daddy is getting scared. (Note from "Dad" - I'm not scared actually, since she won't be dating until she's 35.) Ella also went to her first birthday party on Sat. Our neighbors little girl turned one. We enjoyed visiting with everyone from the neighborhood and introducing them all to Ella. This is a great neighborhood to be in if you have little kids. I think the adults at the party were almost out numbered by all of the little ones.
Wow, we've had a lot of guests at the house over the last few weeks as well! Most recently, our parents have been here to spend some quality time with their first grandchild. (Although we'd like to think they're here to see us ... we all know the truth.) In any event, the grandparents are always welcome here. Not only do they help us with simple chores around the house, they also give mom & dad a chance to get out of the house and spend some time away from the baby (heaven forbid). Here are a few pics from their latest visit.
