We love October

We have had lots going on the past few weeks. October is my favorite month. One of the many reasons we were married this month. We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary by attending an HOA meeting and watching 5 kids. I had to laugh because this explains what our life is like right now perfectly. Brad still made it very special and thoughtful. We were able to put the kids to bed and enjoy a late dinner. It was a wondeful evening and at this stage in our life I would not change a thing. The most important news is that Ella made the honor roll at school. We are so proud of her. She was most excitied about going to the ice cream shop and getting free ice cream. She is making really good progress in kindergarten. Like any child she has weaknesses so Brad and I spend time working on those. We are lucky that most of the time she is eager to do her homework. This past weekend we took the kids to "Boo at the Zoo". We have done this the past 3 years and it is chaotic. We went with 5 other families. That is a total of 14 kids just in case your are curious. The kids love every minute of it and this year. Brad and I both felt it was not nearly as stressful as past years ... I guess because our kids are getting older. We all even went to dinner afterwards. That was a mess, but again, that is just what we do. I know we will look back on those days and wish we could get them back. I have to say thank goodness for margaritas though. We also had 2 birthday parties to attend and a soccer game. By Sunday afternoon we were all exhausted and did not move from the couch, but it was a fun weekend. We had Parker's conference and he is doing great in school. He is working on shapes and colors right now. Mrs. Lim could not believe he already knew red and blue. I gave her a little hint: What color is UK and UofL? Parker will also be real quick to tell you the blue team is yucky and the red team is great. We sure have a smart kids on our hands.
More like brainwashed.
