Polar Express, Birthday Party, and ballet recital

We had a fun jam packed weekend. Friday Pops and Susu got into town and they rode the train to the North Pole with us to see Santa. The kids were so into it this year and could not wait to pick up Santa. They enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate as well.

Saturday my mom and mamaw rose arrived to town to have a late birthday party for Parker. We all headed to gattiland for pizza and games. The kids loved it. Parker's favortie part was riding the carousel and he pitched a fit when he had to get off.

Sunday was Ella's first dance recital and I was not so sure she was going to do it. Saturdy the rehersal was touch and go and we had a few tears along the way. She did not like being back stage without me. I was back there for a little bit to get her calmed down and I can see where it would be scary for a little girl. It was loud and chaotic. Sunday I was convinced she would do the recital because I knew she would be so happy and have fun if she did. Two of her close friends were also with her which did make it easier for her. To my surprise she got up on stage and she did her dance and I actually caught a smile or two. She told me she had a good time, but did not want to go back stage again by herself. Hopefully we will get there. I was so proud of her.
