On Friday afternoon my good friends Sara, April, and April's son Patrick got to Louisville. We were all so happy to see them and it meant so much to me that they would make the drive up here. Patrick is about 6 weeks older than Parker. It was alot of fun to watch them play together. They basically just watched one another. Patrick is on the move. Hoping Parker did not get any ideas from him. Not ready for that yet. Friday night we grilled out and sat outside catching up after the kids went to bed. Saturday we went to the pool and out to dinner. Brad was nice enough to watch the kids after we put them to bed so we could go to a little wine bar. We had alot of fun, but of course stayed out a little too late. Ella had a blast playing with Sara and April. She really took to Sara and was her shadow the entire weekend. Sara even had to lay down with Ella before her nap, but once I came in to say it was time to go to sleep Ella told Sara she had to leave if she was going to take a nap. Ella thought she was going to get out of napping.
We were sad to see them go on Sunday, but we had big plans to ride Thomas so Ella's attention was diverted quickly. When we got to the KY Railway Ella's head was about to explode with excitement. She did not know what to do with herself. She was able to talk to Thomas and told him she loved him and she would see him on TV. During the train ride she stood the entire time looking out the window. We had so much fun watching her. She has been the best little girl and we are glad to see how appreciative she is for us taking her.
Parker's big news is he has 2 teeth that cut through last night. He stayed up most of the night in pain. I felt so bad for him. Parker is also trying to crawl, which I am not ready for. He will pull a few inches forward if there is something he wants. I would think in a few weeks he will be mobile. Parker also had is 6month check up on Friday. He was a little over 18lbs. 50% for weight and 90% for height. The dr said he is doing great and very strong.
We have had such a great weekend and sad to see it end, but I am exhausted and hoping for some rest this week.
