We had a very busy and fun weekend. Friday we went over to the Catholic Fish Fry. It has become our normal Friday night routine. Ella is going to be upset now that it's over. Saturday afternoon we went to Molly's baptism. Ella, Parker, and I have a play date with Molly, Max, and their mommy Lauren every Monday. Ella has really taken to Max and if she does not seem him weekly she starts to ask to go see Max. Molly is less than 2 months older than Parker. After the baptism we headed over to their house for bbq, cake, and an Easter Egg hunt. Ella has really gotten the concept of hunting Easter eggs. She had at least half of them in her basket in a matter of minutes. Luckily, Lauren had stuffed close to 100 eggs so there was not a shortage. I kind of wish Ella had not gotten so many, because we have 2 more Easter egg hunts this week. Our house is being invaded by plastic eggs.
Sunday morning we headed over to the YMCA so mommy could workout and Brad and Ella played in the indoor pool. Parker was in the nursery. This was Ella's first swim since last year so she was a little timid. It will not take her long to remember what to do and I know she will be running and jumping without fear soon. I had promised Ella we would color Easter Eggs after her nap. We colored pink, blue, green, purple, and orange ones. I actually just sat back and watched because she can do everything herself. Miss Independent.
Parker is doing very good as well. He is trying to do sit ups. He does not like to be on his back so I will see him raise himself halfway up and then of course fall back down. He is very strong. He is a very happy baby always smiling at his big sister. She can keep him entertained for hours. He is also finally sleeping 6 hours straight. I feel like a new woman. I just hope it continues. He will be eating cereal in a few weeks, which is hard to believe. He will for sure start to sleep better then. Another huge milestone for him and another reason for me to be just alittle bit sad that he is not a tiny baby. I will probably not be too sad after a nice 8 hours sleep though. :).
