Weekend update

Sorry it has been awhile since I have blogged. Things are great here. Ella's vocabulary is growing so much everyday. We were watching TV the other day and Ella says :"commercial". Pretty big word for a 2 year old. I guess she picked it up from Brad and I because when we are watching cartoons and a commercial comes on she would get upset that the cartoons were gone so we would say it will be back in a few minutes, it's a commercial. Also, they have moved Ella to the toddler B room with the 2 1/2 to 3 year old's. Technically, she should not be in there yet, but on Friday she was in there in the morning and they were taking her back to her regular classroom that afternoon and she did not want to go. The teacher told us she knew lots of shapes, the basic colors, her ABC's, and could count to 10 - so if we wanted her to stay in there she could. If Ella prefers it, it works for me. Most all of the kids in there are at least partially pottery trained, so hopefully they can get her on that bandwagon too. I noticed on her daily sheet Ella asked to go to the potty a few times and they took her, but no "pee pee". Hopefully soon!

Baby Lesshafft is doing great as well. I went to the doctor on Monday and I was measuring right where I should be and the heart rate sounded good. It looks like the C-section is tentatively set for Dec. 2. Hard to believe that is just a little over 3 months away. Of course, I am ecstatic to meet our little boy, but also treasuring these last few months of just having one child. Ella's world is getting ready to drastically change as well, so we are trying to talk about the baby as much as we can so she is not surprised. I am sure she understands a baby is coming, but I just think she is not sure how he is getting here. I know she will be a great big sis, but I also know she will have some adjusting. There is no denying she loves being the only child.
Not too much to report on the weekend. We went out for pizza on Fri. night with friends and spent the rest of the weekend either at the pool or playing outside. It was a beautiful weekend here.

Enjoy these last few months with an only child. I wouldn't trade having multiple kids for anything but it's a special time for you and Ella right now.
