This week has been a roller coaster for us. My dad had a massive heart attack on Wednesday night. All of us jumped in the car to Knoxville with only a few pieces of clothing. We were not sure if dad would pull through that night. Thursday and Friday were hard for me to think "what if". Come Saturday things started to look so much better and who knew that by Monday he would be awake and talking. He's truly a fighter and a strong man. He knew he had a lot of people around him that needed him here. He is doing so much better and he is going to be just fine. He has a long road ahead of him, but it's truly a miracle that he is doing as well as he is today. All of this time I have been so shocked that this actually happened that when I saw him in the hospital it was hard to believe it was real. Once I got back home it hit me what had happened and how short life can really be. You always think that your parents will be here forever but as we get older we realize that this does not happen. That scares me to death!! They need to take care of themselves because Ella sure loves her grandparents and wants them around for a long long time. I sure hope I do not have to go thru this again for a while since I can not even begin to explain how tired I am. Sleeping has not been easy.
Life is too short to worry about all of the small stuff, which I know can be so hard not to do. As long as you have family around and you are healthy, you will be just fine. Family will always be there and pick you up no matter what.
Thanks to all of my friends and family who have called and prayed for us.
