It is Monday yet? I am only kidding. We had a great weekend, I just feel like after working so hard this weekend to get everything ready for Ella's baptism that work might be easier. Seriously, though I love hosting things especially when it is in honor of our little girl. It was a very special weekend for us. It was so nice to have so many family members and friends to share the day with.
Sat. evening the great grandparents, grandparents, uncle Chad and Jenna all got into town. We had dinner at Six Feet Under. I was cracking up because my Mamaw Torbett was taking pictures of our waiter. He had hair that must have been spiked at leat 4" off of his head. She was very excitied to show all of her friends what a crazy place we live in. That night we went out and had a few drinks with Jenna and Chad. I have not been out to a bar until midnight in awhile but it was nice. Sunday all of the festivities began. My good friend Julie met us at he church early to take pictures of the family and Ella. After the pics we had the baptism. Ella was really good until Dr. Wirth started praying and she let out a loud scream . Maybe she is trying to say oh God hear I am, but really I think it was give me back to my mommy and stop putting that cold water on my head! Lunch at our house afterwards was really nice. It was so nice catching up with all of our friends and family over good food and CAKE !! I made sure and let Ellen do the honors and cut the cake, I know she was really wanting cake before her lunch.
After everyone left Ella and I took a much needed 3hr nap! I am not sure who was more tired. I do have to say Ella was so good the entire day though. Before I fell a sleep I just layed there and stared at her and thought how lucky we are and we truely need to thank God for what a beautiful, healthy, perfect little baby girl we have.
The rest of the week is pretty much going to be terrible for me. I leave on a flight at 7am Tues. which means I have to get up at 4am to be able to get there on time. I will be back that evening around 7:30. I am going to miss Ella so much. It will be the first time that I have been away from her an entire day and night. I know Brad will do great with her and will enjoy the time alone.
