Weekend update

We headed to Knoxville this weekend to visit family and friends. It might be the last time I get to Knoxville before Christmas. Luckily, we have Ella's baptism in Oct. and then Thanksgiving at our house as well, so we will still be able to see family.

Friday we hung out with mom and Chad and Ella showed them all of her new tricks. I was finally able to get her to laugh at loud and it was so awesome. Of cousre I sheded a tear. Everytime Ella does something new I get tears. I guess it runs in the family because so does my mom.

Sat. Ella met Jennifer for the first time. It was so much fun visiting with her and catching up. We are torn in so many different directions when we go to Knoxville that I never get to visit with her too much. Luckily with those kind of friends no matter how far away or how much time passes you always pick right back up like it was yesterday. We then headed to the Cox's that afternoon so they could all spend some quality time with Ella. Finally Sat. evening we were finished with our tour and we headed back to moms for a cookout for my Uncle Garland and his wife's birthday. By the end of the night Ella was ready to be put down to bed by herself and left alone. For anyone that knows me well at all you know that I hate to be cuddeled so I can for sure relate to how she felt. I have never been a touchy feeley person .Ella seems to be taking after me in that respect and it makes me sad. The teachers at daycare always say what a great baby Ella is and they can not believe she likes to just lay in her crib and be left alone. Another trait she gets from me is her love of sleep. She is doing great with her naps during the day as well as sleeping through the night. This makes us all very happy!!

I have noticed the last few days she is starting to drool constantly and wanting to chew on her hands or mine. She was also very very cranky this evening which is not normal for her. I think she is starting the process of teething. Of course it will be a good few months before we see anything. I felt so bad for her because when something is wrong she has this really high pitch cry and it breaks my heart.

We finished of Sun. night washing all of Ella's new clothes thanks to Grandma Torbett she got 3 new fall outfits. We then got home this afternoon and Pops and Grandma Lesshafft had sent us the cutest outfit as well. She is ready for fall!

Neila, thanks for the adorable blue dress!!
